With Spring around the corner, we are spending more time outdoors to exercise. If you are interested in learning Self Defense to help you be prepared while you are out and about during your run, check out our Self Defense for Runners series of classes. In order to really learn and benefit from the concepts taught in this class, we have broken them up into 4 different sessions. Each session is dependent on the one previous and the one to follow.
When: Wed April 10th, Wed May 8th, Wed June 12th, Wed July 10th
Time: 7 pm to 9 pm
Where: Coast Rehab, 6193 Soquel Dr. Aptos, Ca 95003
Cost for all 4 classes: 150/family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children under the age of 12).

Learn techniques and tactics to keep yourself safe while on your run. Divided up into 4 sessions, you will learn about self-awareness, prevention, preparedness, and hands on defense techniques that will help you protect yourself.
Led by Bob Pursley, retired lieutenant of the Santa Cruz Sheriff�??s department, FBI certified self-defense instructor, personal trainer.
The 4 different sessions will be focused on the following�?�
Class 1: Introduction to Self Defense, creating awareness, physical and mental preparedness, and beginning physical application.
Class 2: Physical application, hypothetical situations and scenarios, repetative action application.
Class 3: More physical application, hands on one to one interaction in hypothetical situations, testing of skills.
Class 4: Review of curriculum, assessments, critiques, questions, future topic suggestions, integration of self-defense into everyday life.
